My Sony KDF-60XS955 is about three years old and I'm having problems with the set turning itself off by itself. After several seconds it will turn itself back on. It started doing this about six months ago for about two weeks and then worked fine for another month or so. Recently, it started it again and is doing it constantly. Could just a simple bulb replacement fix this? The bulb light on the front isn't coming on when it does this, just the standby light flashes. I tried unplugging the power strip which it is attached to for anout 10 minutes and that didn't help. Do I need to actually have to unplug the set from the power strip to hard reset it?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have one on order. I'm sure it needs it but I'm wondering if this alone will solve my problem?

Thanks again.
