For anyone who does the polarizer replacement, be careful when reconnecting the plugs to the tuner assembly. The smallest connector on the right hand side (facing the back of the TV), will actually go in 2 places. It SHOULD go in the strip at the rear edge where the others go, but can also be connected to another socket slightly further in. If you connect it to the wrong one, you will get the "Select Language" screen when you turn the TV on.
Wasn't too difficult to do as long as you go slowly and keep track of screws. 2 areas I had a little difficulty with:
1. Removing the duct 1 unit: It's not really clear that you need to actually remove the 4 screws holding the filter in and remove the filter to be able to access 2 of the screws holding the bottom duct on.
2. Removing the ribbon cable on the LCD panel: I screwed this one up! - I thought it was a normal kind of push and lock connector, and managed to get the connector out and remove the cable, BUT I broke one of the tiny arms on the side that holds the bar! All you need to do is gently lift the grey/brown tab at the side UP to release the pressure and then the cable will come out. I did manage to get it back in OK, but it's not as secure as it should be.
Otherwise the picture looks great compared to before. I do also have the slight bluish hue in the blacks, but I can live with that for now!
It will be much easier the second time to take it apart should I choose to do so.
