This thread is for discussion about the 2011 Mitsubishi bulb-DLP HDTV model number WD-82CB1.

At the time of starting this thread, June 2, 2011 the basic owners manual and owners manuals available for download on mitsubishi-tv dot com under the separate 2011 XX840 and YY740 models mention the WD-82CB1 model.

Per the generic basic owners manuals that apply to all three model lines it appears that:

a) The WD-82CB1 model is certified for sale in Canada.

b) The WD-82CB1 allows remote update of software over the internet.

c) The WD-82CB1 does not contain the internet-enables "Stream" TV feature.

d) The WD-82CB1 has three HDMI inputs.

e) The WD-82CB1 accepts the standard bulb (that is common among all three Mits lines and sizes for 2011).

f) The WD-82CB1 does not allow semi-sophisticated manipulation of audio speakers. That feature is unique to the XX840 model line.

------------------------------------------------------------------
The following is speculation:

g) Perhaps domestic USA Costco's will carry WD-82CB1 model at a To Be Determined (TBD) time.

h) Exact SWAP-C, size weight and power constraints are T.B.D. at this time, but are probably similar to the YY740 line.

i) It is reasonable to assume it does not contain the "Clear Contrast" Screen, new for 2011 to the XX840 line.

j) It is not known what improvements or upgrades are implemented above and beyond the C10 and C9 models of prior years (that were in the smaller sizes).

k) MSRP, manufacturer's suggested retail price has not been stated yet, officially. Let's hope street prices drop to 65% of MSRP (35% off MSRP) within three months of public release.
