Hey all; I'm playing with the idea of selling my 72HM195. I've had it for 6 years and it has always worked flawlessly. Never even replaced a bulb...I know others have had issues, but mine has been a tank.

However, the thing takes up so much space in my living room! I think it's time to update to newer technology that takes less space. The problem is, I can't find any of these for sale to get an idea on it's current resell value. Can anyone give me a good idea on a starting point I should place the price at?

The only pricing I could find is this refurbished unit, which is out of stock:

edit: I guess I can't post URLs since I'm a long time lurker first time poster. Anyway, the price was $1850 for the refurb unit.

Thank you for any input / advice!

IMO if you get $500 or so you will be lucky. Remember a NEW 73 mitsubishi can be had for under $1000 often when on sale.

Ok, didn't realize that the new sets were so inexpensive. That is very helpful information. Thank you!

Granted that is when on sale, it is currently only $1499 at Sears BUT still even at that.

I'd try it on Craigslist and start at $700 or slightly more, see if you get any bites. NO matter what you start at, most people will try to get you down lower LOL.
Try this on there, make it a great ad and title it 1st $550 takes it! You would be surprised how many people will take it if it says 1st LOL..

Best of luck.
