Hey, I have an older Mitsubishi rear projection TV with a massive plastic stand with speakers built in, I hate the stand its so ugly, and I don't use the crappy speakers on it. I was wondering if it were possible to remove the speakers and just have the top portion, that I could put on a nice wood stand to match my HT furniture? I've seen much bigger rear projections that have much less "housing" also while I'm at it, I'd like to decrease the bezel size and paint it black. Do you think any of this would be possible? My TV looks like this:

No, where do you think all the electronics are? You would end up with a box, a mirror inside and a screen.
