I have a mitsubishi WD-60c10 DLP which only takes in HDMI signals, on my HTPC i dont have any HDMI output, so i bought a DVI to HDMI cable which is unable to send sound through.

In the manual it says i need to use a 3.5mm cable from my PC directly to the 3.5mm input on the TV, i have tried this and am still unable to get any sound through to the TV, i am wondering if anyone knows how to get this working?

I also have a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable if someone has a method of using that to transfer sound to the TV while video is being transferred with an HDMI cable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, hopefully i can get get this to work with either method and not need to buy anything else.

Thanks!
