My Sony kds 60a2000 has a green tint to the picture cause of the blue panel display inside of the optical block. Can i replace the blue panel display inside of my optical block with another blue panel display from a different Sony projecton tv or different name brand projecton tv???

MUST be a Sony SXRD tv, can be the R, G, or B from one. That's a difficult swap to do, because the convergence option on the Sony service menu is near useless. You have to do convergence manually, ie, with your hands. Read through this thread for more: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1216793/sony-optical-block-talk-and-repair-assitance

There's also an interesting youtube from a guy that has done it. Search by the model no.

Quick question...

My brother and I took the Optical Block out of my KDS-60A2000 this weekend and will be sending it off to get refurbished. Once that happens and I get the Optical Block back, I'll test the TV to assure it works correctly. If it does, I want to donate the TV to some type of military-related organization such as Wounded Warriors Project or a VA Hall, or something like that. For valuation purposes, how much would this TV be worth if the Optical Block issue has been addressed and repaired/refurbished? I would definitely let the donee know about the Optical Block issue before consummating any transaction...

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated!!
AK

FYI...this video was "da bomb" in showing us how to take out the Optical Block:
