Just wondering if any of you helpful users out there who have gotten a Darblet can comment on your experience with 1 on your DLP RPTV? If you happen to have a newish DLP RPTV, say 1 made within the last couple of years, that'd be even better...!

Thanks!

I use one on my 2011 model Mits 92840. I think it's great. It seems to increase sharpness and detail without any negative artifacts at moderate levels. I keep mine set at HD 50. There's 3 modes. HD, Gaming and Full Pop. Each mode has 0-120 level adjustment. I wouldn't want to be without it now.

Thanks g4s for your reply. biggrin.gif

I also have a 2011, the WD-73640 though, and I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your Darbee. I may have to pick 1 of these up. I've done some reading on this and understandably so, it's tough to find many users with a DLP RPTV using this. Definitely seems like a great purchase. For me though it seems like a more reasonable price might be closer to $250 than where it usually seems to be which is in the low $300's.

There was a post earlier today about a deal at Solid Signal. Post 4994 in this thread http://www.avsforum.com/t/1399154/darbee-vision-darblet/4980 Might be worth checking out.

Wow! Thanks for that little bit of info. $280.00 is still a tad bit more than what I'd really like to spend, but I might be buying 1 of these here soon enough. Thanks again! biggrin.gif

I have one on a 92840. Depends heavily on content. The tricky foreground/background separation effects can be very dramatic at time. Sometimes you are totally unaware of it. I give a thumbs up at $280 and less. Mine is on all the time.. I forget about it.

Just another blank signature.

WTF is a "Darbee Darblet"?? confused.gif

That is a huge assumption everyone knows what you are talking about. And don't tell me to do a search, I shouldn't have to.

Abundant OTA television is what makes this country different from all others. Lets keep it this way.
The Internet is no place for streaming video.

The Darbee Darblet is a reasonably priced video processor.

It has been getting a lot of discussion in the video processor section here on AVS and in the LCD and Plasma boards.

Hey Bruce...

DO A SEARCH!!!!!! redface.gifbiggrin.gif

Don't tell me I should have to explain what a Darblet is. I'm asking for opinions from people who own them. I'd like to think that someone owning 1 of these would actually know what they are.

If you really would like to know exactly what 1 is. Click on the link posted in this thread in post #4. If that's not too much work for you. smile.gif

I decided to not go with a Darbee just yet afterall. Since RPTV's are no more, I thought I'd rather use those funds on a new WD-82642 and then get the Darbee later on. Better buy that RPTV now folks, they are running out fast it seems. Get yours before it's too late!

If you are going to use a 'odd' acronym or term that is not mainstream (and this surely isn't), especially in another somewhat unrelated forum, have the courtesy to tell everyone else what it stands for. Assuming everyone knowns what some odd ball item is is inconsiderate, just because you do.

If you want help, you should do your part, or is that too much work? rolleyes.gif

I'm looking forward to using my Darbee Darblet with an 82" Mitsubishi DLP I just ordered. I'm currently using it with a Samsung 67" LED DLP with excellent results.

What the hell Bruce. The Darbee Darblet is the name of a product. This is no 'odd' acronym. And it may not be mainstream but if some bought 1 of these, then obviously they know what 1 is. So there's no need for me to explain to everyone what it is that they own. If you don't know what 1 is, then do your part and find out what it is on your own.

I was thinking the same thing. If you don't know what it is then obviously he doesn't want your feedback. He wants to know from people that own it therefore already KNOW WHAT IT IS.
