Mitsubishi 82740,
Expand glasses.

Is it normal for the picture to be quite a bit darker in 3D Mode when compared to "Normal" 2D ?

Thanks.

Thanks Ed,

I was wondering if there is any way to make the picture lightter without washing it out.

To be honest.I have only seen 3D with Cable TV of old Documentaries so maybe with BluRay it will be better.
