Hi all,

I have a Samsung 67" HL67A750 LED DLP with the light tunnel shadow border porblem. It started 2 months ago and I bought the TV in March 2009.
I've read that the glue was defective and Samsung is fixing them for free.
Anybody know if this is true?

The above link does not apply to your 2008 set. Download the service manual from "justmanuals.com" and follow the illumination adjustment on page 4-28. This will fix your problem.

Here's a picture of the adjustment location.

Talked to secretary of the repair company and they're coming next week. However, she said that this model has no light tunnel.

They came today and they did not fix or replace the light tunnel...
They installed a brand new DLP light engine!!!

Samsung replaced the light engine on 6/30/2013. There's a bubble backdrop you see when you first turn on my Samsung BD-P3600 blue-ray player. Recently, I see very slight shadows of these bubbles whenever there's a black screen. It pretty much disappears in hi-def or blu-ray modes. It shows up more in low-def and Netflix instant streaming.

Light engine, of course, was guaranteed for 30 days.

I have the same problem with our HL-S6186W. I bought this tv from my brother because he was angry and didn't want to pay anything to fix it. I guess he'd rather just go by a new tv in a different brand. He was mad that the sound kept going out. I ordered a main board for very little, and it did the trick. The other issue with this tv is the dark corners and very dim screen. I'm almost certain it's the same problem with the light engine. The problem is, I don't have any paperwork with the tv. He tossed it all years ago. Did they have to confirm your serial number or anything? Not that it would be under warranty anyways. I'm definitely going to call them eventually. Just going to research a little bit more. No way I'm paying a tech to come and fix something I'm capable of doing myself.
