Mitsubishi WD 73732 screen flickering and split in half

i have a mitsubishi 73 inch tv i just purchased. The picture starts off looking okay but after about 10 minutes the colors start getting darker and the screen splits into a green tint on one side and a purple on the other aalrernating sides. Ive read a few posts but dont know if i should get a color wheel or light engine. I just replaced the lamp today with a new one but no change. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is a link to a forum thread where people apparently have the same problem as you.

http://www.highdefforum.com/rear-pro...placement.html

On the second page of the forum (post 19) there is another link to a rapid share site with a DIY guide apparently devoted to solving this problem. Ordinarily if you download from the rapid share site they charge you, but there is apparently an option on the screen wherein you will choose "to wait." There is a countdown, and when the number hits zero you can download it for free.

I have never used rapid share before, and so am not providing the link on this site.

You can read more about the problem on the linked forum page, and proceed or not depending on your own judgment.

I hope that helps.
