Hello all, when viewing my TV at the top right there seems to be a problem with the display. It shows like a wavy color of green, red etc, and it is double image of some sort with the multiple colors Any idea or suggestions on how to fix? The TV model is a Toshiba Cinema Series 57hx83. I have had this TV since 2002. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Tom
Another question, are you familiar with this TV 57hx83? If so I wanted to know if there are instructions to calibrate myself? Also when viewing movies, sports or anything on TV it seems I lose the picture to the far right. For example if you have the Bloomberg Channel on that shows the stock tickers on the right side of the TV or if watching any content that has the "info bar to the right or left my TV does not show it. It is cut off or something. I do not have the TV zoomed in or anything and all other settings are normal. Any suggestions? Would this be done through a calibration that I can do?
What you are seeing is overscan and/or the whole image shifted to the right. It is possible to move the whole image and/or shrink it. BUT changing these settings means entering service mode and doing very complex adjustments. You can seriously mess up your Tv by attempting something like this. It can take a trained technician hours to adjust these settings on one Tv. So it might take you days, weeks to learn how to do it. I would recommend you just live with the problem but if you have hours and hours of free time and don't care too much if the Tv gets hosed then good luck.
