I would like to ask for some help from the many knowledgeable people in this forum. I own a Toshiba 51HX83 that my family and I have enjoyed greatly. Unfortunately, we were watching a show in High Definition and my dog saw what seem to be real dog and jumped on TV and left scratches in the screen. The scratches are about 2" long about 7 of them. The scratches are not very deep or wide and can only be felt with my nail; however, they are visible. It seems that a plastic screen covers the real screen behind it but I can't really tell. Any suggestions to repair this. Would a CD repair kit work? I though I'd better ask before trying anything.

Your going to end up needing a new anti glare screen probably, the HX's have an anti glare coating on them, I don't know if it would survive trying to buff scratches out.

Please don't PM me with technical questions that should be posted in the forum.
