Okay, I'm new to this forum (kinda - mostly trolled for the last 4-5 years) - however I have probably been through 10-15 TV's in the last 2 years.

I was able to pickup the KDS-55A3000 from BB, with the 12% off coupon (BB price was same as MSRP) (Thanks to a great AV member here, I owe you majorly). I was able to pick up for a pretty fair price.

You can reference this thread for the BB SKU numbers - the salesman told me they only had the 55 and the 60" in, no 50's at this point. However, I'm sure that will change: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...1#post11281846

Here are some pics, so far the picture clarity connected to my PS3/HD-A20 is downright AMAZING. I just returned a Mitsubishi 65733 and it was no where NEAR this clear, not even in the same atmosphere.

It's literally like you're almost there watching it!! - I'm not one to get too excited about TV's, having gone through so many, but this is by far the most impressive pic I've seen. This is only my 2nd Sony TV, I've normally stuck with Mitsubishi/Samsung.

Edited to reference all pics in the thread - it DOES natively support 1080/24p:

More updates as I get time. So far, completely satisfied and for once 100% happy with my purchase so far.

Nope. The last 5 TV's I've had have all been 62"-65" in the same spot where the 55" is. At some point (in my opinion) you give up PQ for size, I think for me this 55" is the sweet spot. Results may vary, my viewing distance really isn't big enough for a 60"+.

So are you saying your giving up PQ for a 55" over a 60"? Or you saying the bigger you go the less PQ you get? Also my viewing distance is around 8-9'.

Well, it's only my opinion - but I think the bigger the TV you get in most cases the worse the picture will get. Again, that's only my opinion. I have VERY good vision and that's always been the case for me. Results will probably vary.

Now, really, between the 55" and 60" there probably isn't enough difference to notice. I was happy saving the money and I probably only have 8' from the front of the screen to my couch.

For the first time in a long time, so far I'm completely happy with the quality of this TV. That's really amazing to say, if you know me like my wife/family.

Since I've gotten a few PM's about it - here are the SKU numbers for the 2 sizes BB carries:

KDS-55A3000 - BB SKU: 8451677

KDS-60A3000 - BB SKU: 8451668

The lady I spoke to said they had several of them in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - I had to pick it up from their Flower Mound Distribution center, after buying it at the Las Colinas (Irving) BB.

Here's the receipt - note if you use your rewards zone card, the lady said you get $5 for every $250 you spend before tax in coupons sent to you. I think it's used as credit towards a BB purchase.

No, I wasn't refering to your post. Just in general. I just figured people would like to have the info, since supposedly you can't buy this TV anywhere yet.

I've spoken to a few local high-end stores and even they say they don't have them available yet. Sony's website even indicates they're not available yet.

Do you have some pics with it out of Vivid Mode?
