I have a Sony 40XBR800 built circa 11/2002.

Over the past year, the picture continuously cycles red, green and blue tints on all inputs.

Powering the TV on and off or leaving it on for long periods of time don't make a difference.

However, on some days the problem does not occur.

The mainboard has already been replaced.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like it is being subjected to magnetic interference somehow. Identify the source, keep any magnets away from it, other metal objects, speakers, anything that may create a magnetic field like appliances, motors, vacuum cleaners etc.
