I have a 27" Durabrand in one of the kid's room. After the tv warms up the middle of the screen is squished togheter. The viewable area resembles an hour glass.
Is there a way to reset this? If it's a bad electrical component I can solder in the replacement but don't really know where to start.
TIA,
Ray

Sounds like a bad pincushion IC. Get your hands on a service manual for that particular model or chassis if you can so that you can identify the part.

Thanks...I'll start digging for a manual when I get home.

It's a Durabrand DWT2704. There are numerous sites that "advertise" the manual but for an older CRT I'm not to excited about buying a manual that approaches the cost of a used 27" TV (and I'm a little cheap too.) Is there a reliable source for free manuals? Admittedly, I'm better at finding tool manuals and locating parts for them.
Thanks,
Ray

Thanks for your patience on this one. I fumbled with this site yesterday, over & over. I came down to waiting for the time out (Processing) & download link to appear.
I've downloaded the manual - thank you.
