According to the ad, it comes with a free stand that cost $400, and the TV was only used a year, and there's no damage to the screen or anti-glare coating.

Good price? If you were in the market for an HD CRT, would you get this? Would you wait until an XBR960 came around, since they're supposed to be slightly better? What should I look for when I see the set in person? How can I confirm the model number when I see the set?

And am I crazy for wanting a CRT - are there problems with CRTs I might not be aware of?

I certainly would buy one in the condition that you describe with stand for $100.
