Why do you ask? Obviously the magnetic field from the speakers doesn't "go away" when the TV is off. But, as long as the TV is off, you will never see how the TV is affected.

I would be more concerned about the effect when the TV is on.

That one does seem odd. The only other condition I can think of is if the stuff has been in close proximity storage. Assuming the speakers are then moved away I would think the TV's power-up degauss would eventually correct any residual affect (let the degauss circuit cool off before repeating).
