I am new to this forum and my knowledge of CRT technology is limited. About 4 months ago I decided to snag an old 27" KV-27FV310 on Craigslist so I could relive some old N64 games. I've only used it a handful of times so far, but I noticed that the outside edges of the tube screen seems a little fuzzy, blurry, and seem to warp the picture. I wasn't sure if this is normal. I set the TV to a static channel and observed the RF noise and the RF static in the center of the screen looks sharper than towards the outside corners. When the TV is powered on initially there are two vertical white lines that flash momentarily on the left and right side, and I do not hear any audible noises (hissing, etc.) coming from the back of the set while it's powered on.

Is there anything I can do about the blurriness on the outside of the screen? Otherwise all colors look fine. Is it also normal for white lines to flash momentarily during power on?
