What color temperature were the CRT's set to? I just had a look at the menu for a CRT & it didn't even have a color temp setting.

I have calibrated about 10 or so old consumer grade CRTs build dates from mid 90's to 2006. All were way blue. Not as WAY blue as today's sets when set to cool but up in the high 8000 to 9500.
Once you do a 2 point in the service menu they look freaking wonderful.

The older sets had the rbg gains and cuts in the service menu to allow for a 2 point gray scale
adjustment.

Using a Spectro or Colorimeter and and software you can adjust the Gray scale at the lower and upper ends of the video signal. This how color temperature is set.
