I hooked up an old 19''crt to HD satellite receiver. The picture is levels and contrast better than my 46'' samsung lcd.It isnt as clear, but the depth was so much better than lcd.I had forgotten some of the advantages of tube tv.Iknow it is not getting HD resolution, but still many lines of picture resolution for such a small set. I would guess its maybe dvd quality. With this small of a tv the detail is outstanding. I can understand why studio monitors were so small and delivered a great picture with an outstanding direct feed. I thought I read somewhere that a 14'' panasonic studio monitor was 40000$,I cold be mistaken on that. Anyway a pleasant surprise. Long live tube sets
