My nearly 20 year old Sony Trinitron 27" model KV-27V10 has finally died. It just shut off while it was on. No warnings, just went out as though the power had gone out.
Checked the outlet, but it is live. Wiggled the cord, nothing. Tried direct controls of course, thinking that the remote had gone bad...
So, I'm wondering whether there is an internal fuse that might just have blown for no other reason than fuse fatigue (which can happen, but I admit not likely). I'm thinking power supply.
I am not planning to repair the TV, but just curious as to whether there is any chance I could get it working again with little effort and cost.
I have repaired TV's in the past, so I am somewhat familiar with the circuitry, but I don't have any test equipment anymore, except for a DMM.

Any thoughts on this?
