Aim is to turn a crt to a native tv display(without an external tv tuner). I have tried this on a LG-500G 15" monitor. I removed the original monitor circuit. And attached a philips tv circuit. One tv mechanic told me that the crt monitors have yokes quite different from a normal tv. But he failed to describe what difference is there. Upon assembling the crt and the circuit, the picture comes but with a wider horizontal scan and a shorter vertical scan. I see black bands on top and bottom. There is facility to go into service mode and increase/decrease the horizontal/vertical size. But it is only possible to increase the height by a small amount.

Please advise if yoke modification or circuit modification is needed.

PS: There is no pot/vr to control the voltage on this board.

Deflection angles, impedance, etc. The yoke is different.
