Hey guys, been having a problem with the ole 970. Haven't messed with the service menu in quite a while and in the last few months have had an issue.

The problem is this, if the screen is all blue lets say and there is white lettering, to the right of the word will be this dark line that goes to the right of the screen.

Another example, a cartoon lets say. white eyes on a darker colored face, the dark line is comming off the eyes over the face to the right. Now if the eyes blink it goes away and comes back when the eyes open again.

Its always there when you have a light color inside a darker color, or a dark color inside a light colored background. Is this just the set getting old or is there anything I can do to fix it?

Sorry its a bit difficult to explain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happen from all sources (composite, S-video, component, HDMI)? What you describe sounds like a disrupted analogue signal. I can remember having the same problem with a CRT with a damaged VGA cord.

Thanks for the reply.

I haven't tried changing any cords out but, it is happening with the cable box and the 360 both connected through component cables.

I will hook something up with hdmi and post back.

If you can I would recommend taking a pic or better yet recording a video of this problem, people here will be able to help you much better.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to get some pics up soon. I would have already done it but only have the phone camera, hopefully I can get some decent photos of the problem.
