Hello everyone,


Recently I’ve been trying to properly adjust the geometry and alignment of my Sony Trinitron PVM20L2 Monitor.  I’ve used multiple cross hatch patterns to align my monitor as best I can, but I’ve been struggling for some time now to get it look “just right” and have unsuccessfully been able to reach the correct settings with the service menu.


As it stands right now, the picture fills the entire screen and looks decent, but there is a slight horizontal tilting near the top part of the screen that causes some images to look like they are rising up at an angle from left to right – almost like an incline of a hill. In addition to that, the overall alignment and geometry doesn’t quite look “right”. I have spent hours tweaking the settings to find a balance of proper display to my liking, but no matter what I try, there always seems to be some kind of issue.


I thought I would try posting here to see if any experts could help me. I’m wondering if anyone else has this specific monitor and has found the optimal values to make the image look properly aligned and “correct”.


I will post my current settings in hopes that it might highlight any possible issues.
