I'm gonna guess based on what I've seen on Craigslist vs. age it's a model about halfway down this list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FD_Trinitron/WEGA

From what I've observed a particular model type looks the same regardless of size.

Hopefully one of the experts here can narrow it down for ya. Could also do a search for "Sony CRT flatscreen" and compare the 'images' (ex: Yahoo>Images).

Is this your TV? If you can touch it, just turn it around. A sticker will be on the rear that tells you the model, along with the manufacture date. It looks like a KV-XBR model, but I have no way of telling what size it is from the photo, which will be at least part of what determines its exact model name.

I remember that tv, it's not one of the high end models btw, and the one I saw was 27-29 inches. It featured 2 component inputs and 3 composite inputs, but can only receive 480i signals.

Haha I hadn't thought of it being their TV, figured it was from a Craigslist ad.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Yes, it was a CL ad. If it was in front of me I would have just turned it around to check the tag. The person listing was giving it away and did not provide any info other then "idk model" around 32". I just wanted to find out if there where any problems with this model and if it was a HD tv. Anyways it is gone.

I really am happy though that I ran across this website. Wonderful place of information.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Same here!

Yeah sometimes it's hard to tell the experience of newbies. smile.gif

I've noticed the CL freebie TV's have been going fast lately, even the heavier beasts.
