Lets face it.
Sony and Panasonic aren't going to make them no matter how much we all whinge on this board, but I don't doubt for a second that the technology doesn't exist.
I recently got my Trinitron to 2560x1600 and I get no blur whatsoever!
It was made over 15 years ago now!
With today's technology I see no reason why a private company couldn't make one.
I don't care for a second about the price! If I heard a company make a 4K CRT and it cost a million pounds and I had that kind of cash I would be a very poor man with a very nice telly very quickly!
Surely someone somewhere is up to the task!?
I'd love to see it. I suppose a few existing super-high-scanrate CRTs could do it albeit with an insanely low vertical refresh rate.
yes its possible, the only way it will happen is if someone who wants one is rich enough to have some made. not sure what the TRUE reason would be. either not enough demand or not a big enough market, or low margins, we may never know.
if only we could make a 4K 0.22mm AG pitch Trinitron CRT TV/Monitor with Display port (VGA is disappearing) and no horizonatal support wires, we could also make them have thinner bezels and be smaller front to back.
