I still love my super fine pitch CRT! Picture still looking great, but the speakers are starting to buzz. Is it possible to bypass the TV speakers in favor of a set of external after market speakers? The set does not have HDMI only DVI / HDCP, if that makes a difference.

I've never used the speakers - I've always patched all audio (cable, blu-ray, etc.) through my stereo system. Can you do that?

I think that is my question. I want to abandon the TV speakers and plug in a new set of speakers. I don't own a stereo or Hi Fi or anything like that. I would have to buy a pair of stereo speakers or PC speakers and I was hoping I could just plug them into the TV and use them instead of the TV speakers. But I don't know if the 910 has the inputs or ability to accept that. It doesn't have HDMI I know that much.

A set of powered speakers (computer speakers) connected to the "audio out" of the TV should satisfy your need.

Something like Klipsch speakers, and just plug them into the audio jack in back. Sounds easy enough!
