I dusted off an old I'Art to play some games with a soft-modded Wii. I hooked the Wii up via component and was only getting a black and white display until I went into the television settings and changed the "Video Input Label" of V2-Component "Game" to V2-Component "DVD" and wala I had full colour gaming over component....This is where it gets weird, I had switched from composite to component while paused in-game...when I quit the game and attempted to go back to the Wii menu the display immediately vanished aside from audio.

It seems this TV can only display a component input if that input (this case a Wii) is labelled as a DVD device and only while in-game...not in the Wii menu. Does the Wii send a different type of signal in the menu than it would while playing a game...maybe NTSC to PAL?
