Looking for input on CRT for retro gaming setup

My son has decided he wants to stat building a collection of older video game consoles. We know that with pre-HD resolutions and often RF outputs that a TV these systems were designed to run on would be better than any of our flat panels.

Looking to pick up a nice used set, we are in no hurry, so we can be picky. It has been a long time since I have even thought about a non-HD set, the first that come to mind is a Sony Trinitron. Any thought on brands and size for best picture quality to size ratio?

32" Sony tritons are good.

However, I don't want an old CRT taking up space so I went the upscaler route. Depending on what console you are using the first thing you should consider is output. Use either s video, scart, or rgb if you can. As for the cables don't cheap out on them. Get official or known brand cables if you don't want to see checkered patterns and other artifacts. Next get a scart/s video 240 & 480 input to 1080 output upscaler.
