Question Wonky geometry at the top of my Wega's screen

So I got a KV-34HS420 and noticed that the edges were being cropped off a bit. I managed to get to the service menu and changed the values MDHS, MDHP, MDVS, and MDVP. I was able to uncover the left and right sides but the top (and bottom to a lesser extent) have this weird thing going on outside the original visible area. I can't get a picture but I've recreated what I saw by editing the test pattern I used.

Is this something I can fix with the service menu? I'm not very experienced with CRT settings (and I probably shouldn't be messing with these values because of this) but I'd like to at least try. Or is this something unfixable that needed to be covered by the overscan in the first place?

I worked on a HS420 that ended up with similar distortion only on the bottom.
I believe it's called "flagging".

Similar adjustments on an XBR910 were distortion free.
I chalk it up to better beam control for the Super Fine Pitch over the Hi-Scan units.

Don't try to minimize overscan too much.
It should not make much difference if you're watching just TV or video content.

Regards
