I bought a used Sony AW15 projector with 150 lamp hours used on it plays great but the screen is uneven it titls more to the right. I tried to fix it by lens shifting and it is sill crooked. I thought about buying a new one at CC swapping the old one with a new one and taking it back that same day and just paying the 15% restocking fee. Will they check the serial number on the back of the projector to the box.

There is probably nothing wrong with your PJ -- you just have not lined it up properly with the screen.

There's nothing wrong with your PJ. If you swap it the new one will look the same as well. This is a setup issue. As BMAG stated you have not lined the projector up with the screen properly.

The projector must be positioned so it is exactly perpendicular to the screen, the center of the lens lined up with the vertical center of the screen. Most projectors cannot adjust for horizontal keystoning, which is what you are seeing. Refer to your owners manual for setup and alignment.
