My Benq PB6210 has recently stopped working, and I can't figure out what's up with it.

When I switch on, it starts to power up OK, the power light flashes green and then goes solid green, and the fan kicks in.

But only a couple of seconds later, all three lights flash orange briefly, the fan stops, and it shuts down into standby mode.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with their Benq? It looks like some kind of thermal cut-out to me, but the exact diagnostic doesn't seem to be covered in the manual. The lamp has been replaced fairly recently, so I don't think it's that.

It's out of warranty, and I'm just pondering whether it might be fixable by replacing a fuse or something, or whether I'll need to fork out for a repair job...

If you don't mind opening up the projector, I would try checking the fan wires/connections. I had this problem with my Benq PB6100. However, mine was showing a fan error code. Still worth a try. It had three fans and it ended up being one loose connection. Good luck.

I have a PDF file that shows the inside of the PB6100 as well as some of the fan wires. I think the 2 projectors are very similar. Let me know if you would like me to e-mail it to you.

Yes that's certainly worth a try - the PDF would be much appreciated.

Could you mail it to fanwires@factork.co.uk

Thanks for your help!
