Ordered one.

Had to pay taxes and everything. Grrr....
With no rebate, taxes, and higher shipping, I am paying close to $340 over the best deal posted here.

Oh well... that's life...

I missed it, too.

Any chance InFocus will offer another rebate? If so, where would it be posted?

Taking a clue from previous Infocus clearances, I doubt it.
That said, I would expect the street value for this PJ to still be below $1500 after this closeout.

So, we might see these prices again if MS's cash back for eBay goes higher then.

Wasn't the x10 released last year around Mar? If so, and they are closing it out, then its very short lived product. Or does Infocus have another 1080p projector under their sleeves?

I suspect they are trying to position the IN81 as the new value PJ while slashing prices on the whole line.

Plus, naming wise, the X10 is poorly positioned.
The X9 and X10 are very different, which confuses many.

spectrumbx, Any chance of editing the Thread title to "Infocus X10 for $1800... make that $1299" as I think many people would be interested in the TD pricing. Infocus appears to be aggressively going after share (or are they just dumping inventory). Checking the throw for the PJ, it definitely looks like a drop-in replacement for the 4805 (with a greater vertical offset). As a long "long throw" guy, this is the first low priced DLP I've seen that could be mounted in the same place as my current system (XGA business class projector). If I hadn't bought something 6 months ago, this one may have gotten gotten me to jump to 1080p.

Updated.

However, it looks like we might need a mod to change the main thread title.

Did anyone end up buying the X10 only to find that it doesn't really work for their room/setup?

If so, I'd happily pay $900 for a lightly used one =)
