Does anyone else have a problem with the settings going back to default EVERYTIME it shuts off ? The default is way too dark for some of my games, so I have to change it every time i turn it on, very frustrating. It didn't come with an owners manual so I'm not sure if there is a way to save the settings.

I think that you can only make changes to the User setting, with the others defaulting to their original numbers after the power has been off.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I guess I really don't need multiple settings anyways, good is good regardless of movies or games.

Why are some of the menu controls greyed out? Sharpness, tint and color can not be adjusted. I find the color a little dull and washed out even in a dark room and would like to tweek it a bit.

I think a 2X speed would definitely be a deal breaker for me. Same reason why I did not jump on the HC1600 deals.

Any ideas guys?

The X9 has a 4X colorwheel.

Thanks again,

The InFocus Projection Calculator does calculate the image offset for you and can be found at http://www.infocus.com/ProjectionCal...tainment&pro=1

Also, the image offset for the X9 measures 119% (19% of image height will be the gap from top of screen to lens when level). You can however aim the projector up/down and use keystone correction to adjust if necessary. Keystoning should be avoided at all cost if possible though in order to maintain as sharp of an image as possible.

I thought about jumping on this as well. Is it confirmed that it's a 4x color wheel? 2x wheels make my head explode. Thanks!

I still can't seem to confirm that this is a 4x color wheel. Can anyone clarify? I'm considering this as an upgrade to my Infocus IN72 - anyone seen both models that can comment if this is a worthwhile upgrade? Thanks!

My InFocus X9 looks like it has bit the bucket and died.

It powers on, display comes up, everything normal, then after about 10-15 seconds it suddenly shuts off. Tried reseting the bulb hours, but that didn't help. Will a new bulb fix this problem?

Note: I might be the long life bulb winner here. Original bulb and it has 6050 hours on it.
I NEVER ran it in econo mode, and it was run about 75% in movie mode / 25% PC mode(daytime viewing).

Also, This was a very reliable projector, I never once had an issue or problem with the X9.

My X9 has become my backup/portable projector. This was also a reliable projector for me and at a great price at the time. My only problem was the contrast, especially in dark movies, but for game day it worked great. I am now using a optoma hd33 and love it. not sure if a new lamp will help you, Maybe you can find a working one with hours on it for a reasonable price to check.
