I know a lot of this depends on the projectors capabilities etc but I am just wondering if i could get a way with putting a projector on a side table next to my couch and lens shift it over by quite a lot so its the picture is centre with were I sit.

I really dont want to be putting a projector on the ceiling as it stands out so much and a projector life is daft money. Is there some measurements i can give you were you can tell me if it would be possible ?

I have read the Sanyo PJ`s offer the greatest lens shift.

Look in the manual of the projector online, and it will give you a percentage of the screen width.

Right, every projector is different, so you really need to consult the manual.

I have an Epson 1080 which has a generous amount of lens shift, I have the projector on the left wall, but the lens is still within the screen image.....so you can get away with your situation if you use a big enough screen, meaning it will extend past your couch on both sides, with an Epson......

S=Screen
C=Couch
