Hey guys I have just recently noticed a high pitch noise from my projector and it drives me crazy. Any chance it could be the cooling fan or is almost always the color wheel? Is it possible to fix myself?

It's the color wheel. Fans rarely make that noise. I tried to look it up with my parts supplier but they don't have that model listed.

it's the Costco version of the HD72 I think.

Okay, that makes sense. And the color wheel for that model is available. I believe it's about $135 plus shipping.

OK thanks. I can live with it for while longer I think, unless it gets worse. Where would I order it through?

Most mfrs do not sell parts to end users, you have to be a service tech. When you're ready, let me know. I can get them.
