Hi,

I'm looking for a projector to use in my home theater; but I don't know what I should be looking for. The room is 35' X 16' w/ 9' ceiling
The projector will be place on the ceiling (9ft). The distance from the projector to the screen will be roughly 15ft.

The screen size that I want to use needs to be 96 wide.

The room has four windows and one door along the left side. I am putting in the lights so I can dim them if needed. The room will have a bar built in at the other end of the room, so it is actually not just a theater room. Most of the time we will be having parties in the evening, so light coming in from the outside should be good, but I want the option to watch a 330PM game if needed without blacking out everything. The ceiling will be a drop ceiling in white. The walls will be a tan color.

Also what type of screen would I need? I wanted an electric screen.

Budget: $2000-$2500
Seating: 11-18ft ish
Room: 35'L X 16'W X 9'H (Rectangle room)
Projecting: Movies/HDTV/Sports/Xbox360
3D: No
Ambient Light: Yes
Lag: Minimal (30ms or less)
Room Color: Ceiling: White, Tan Walls: Sandstone

When looking through these forums, what should I be specifically looking for when it comes to a decent projector / screen.

Thank you for all your help

Thanks for your reply. Just didnt think I needed to go bigger than 96". What do you recommend or screen size? On this end of the wall it is 96" wide and then goes on a 45 degree on both sides for about 4' each. If I went fixed it would have to be 96". If I do electric or pull down it could be wider.

What about screen suggestions?
