Hello everyone, I am trying to decide between the Mitsubishi hc4000 or the Benq W6000. I can get the Mits for $1249.99 and free bulb. The Benq I can get for $1299.99. I read through both owners threads. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks as always and take care.

The Mits will be fine for that size screen. If you're not bothered by dynamic iris movement. The Benq is a terrific unit. It is much brighter than the Mits. The Mits will have better color out of the box and comes with a better warranty.
If you plan to use with ambient light from time to time. The Benq will do a better job, because it is so bright.

The Benq will do night scenes a touch better because of the DI. It should be a toss up overall. You'll probably be happy with either.
If you need more flexibility with placement, the Benq will fit your needs over the Mits.

i too am looking at HC4000 or W6000
screen size 4me = 106in fixed white - Light controlled environment
BluRay & DVD movies only
present PJ = InFocus SP7210 (is there Noticeable PQ Upgrade)

from what i read::

the HC4000 is much less brighter than the W6000
and likewise dimmer than the SP7210 (but Spot on Color right out of Box)
i can make the Mits work-- Ceiling mount & Offset
what iam worried about is beginning FL=15 at my settings (and then it gets darker)

the W6000 is much Brighter (more in line of the SP7210)
NO problems with Offset (vertical Lens shift)
beginning FL = 33 (similar to SP7210) ie maybe 16FL at LAMP 1000hrs
BUT Color is NOT spot-on out of the Box (and maybe difficult to adj)
also possible problems with Iris noise & obvious adjustment flicker on screen

i too like CaperGuy33 would appreciate INPUT
