I have an Acer k11 and love it the colors and brightness are great, but after having it for awhile the novelty of having a 86" display is wearing off due to the lack of resolution. Games like Call of Duty, HD movies and PC usage really dont shine because of its svga res. I am wondering is it worth upgrading to a wxga or 720p led PJ or will the increased res not be very signification. If anyone here has had experience with both resolutions can you please share your opinion and let me and others wondering if the viewing experience is worth the upgrade.

Here are some picks showing my xbox with Acer k11 svga:

I went from xga in widescreen mode (576p) to true 720p and the difference is very noticeable. The jump from 480p to 720p, whether you use WXGA or native 720p, will be huge.

Everything will be an improvement- from text to shading to especially detail. If you can see the difference between VHS and DVD, then you'll see the difference between 480p to 720/1080p

Easy way to tell the difference on resolution is use your computer monitor and set it on vga and then wxga and see if you can see the difference. Look at movie or other high resolution stuff. That should give you idea of what the difference is like. Do you use 800x600 on your monitor, why not?
