A Dim or washed out Image. If you have a flickering lamp it could be the arc is jumping all over the lamps Center chamber. Take the lamp out and look at the center and see if it is distorted or out of round or the center stem has gotten offset due to heat. You could try setting it on economy if you have that setting and go back and forth between normal and econ.

just remember a broken bulb in the projector can make for a big mess and some possibel damage. It is not worth the extra few hours.
