The Optoma at 10.5 feet can produce a 105" image and I'm guessing the Acer is the same
so there should be no need for zoom.

the problem is i need 92 inch. I would have no way to lower the size without moving closer correct?

I just ordered the H5360 . Paid 459. Hope I didn't make a mistake.

The main reason I changed projectors was because of the zoom, the Acer just fit when I changed screen size. You would love the brightness on the H5360, not a bad decision at all. Plus, you get one of the best 3D and gaming projectors.

The zoom pretty much sealed it. Mixed in with the Newegg sale with 50 dollars off.

I was planning on getting the H5360, then I saw this forum and I am not sure if the ML500 would be a better choice, so... advice? A am using a 80" dual aspect screen in a dark basement. I can move the screen about 5 feet in any direction without causing a viewing problem, so I don't think zoom is absolutely necessary. I plan on playing mostly 360 games and Netflix on my 360. Still more or less of a tossup?

How often do you think you will be watching your projector a week? The ML500 should give you enough brightness on that screen size. But if you game in 3D with your 360, the h5360 will give you they needed brightness for 3D

I would assume pretty light usage... maybe 10-20 hours a week. I never tried 3D gaming, and honestly don't plan on doing it. Thanks for responding... all of this is new to me. Also, I do plan on possibly upgrading to a 120" screen at some point. Would the ML500 be able to do that decently in a dark basement?

I would not suggest it over 92in unless using a high gain screen. When I had the ML500, I used it with a Da Lite HP 2.4 gain screen. It gave good brightness, but I prefer my H5360. With 10-20 hours a week, the Acer should last you a good 5-8 years on Eco mode, so its no need to get an LED projector with only 375 lumens, when the acer can give you 1700 in Eco mode. I wasn't big on 3D gaming until I played uncharted 3 in 3D for my ps3, it was really fun and gave the game a new dimension.

Also, if the wall you are projecting on is white, you should look at the Optoma GT720 or GT750. I took my GT720 over my friends house last weekend and watch the three musketeers. I projected it on his wall and it filled most of his wall. We got it as big as 160in from 8ft away. The kids played wii on it, and didn't have to worry about shadows since its a short throw projector. Of the three, I like my GT720 over the h5360 and ML500

Sounds good. I will stick to the H5360 and give 3D gaming a try.

A good advantage with LED is you can turn in on for 1 min and turn it of and it won't mean anything. With a bulb you turn it on and wait a bit for it to warm up than you have to wait at least 35 min to turn it off.

The zoom is the one thing that would make me consider the Acer also since I have a fixed spot on the back wall of my office. I have a small LED pj already and it is nice being able to turn it off and on w/no issues...

Is this true? I have never heard of this requirement. But then I am new to the whole projector scene :-)

I've been busy as a bee to keep up, does anybody know if price cuts might be looming for the Clones or any future 2012 720p LED's?
