Hey Gents,
I have not used my Epson 8350 in about a month since the baby was born. So here I am getting ready to fire it up and I see this on the screen which sent me into the stratosphere.

I get it regardless if the blu ray is on or not. Even when I select the pattern screen its there as well. It does not even go the full length across the screen. Just looks like some sort of scratch or something.

I have 286 hours on the original bulb, the unit was purchased December 2010.

Any idea on what this could be? ...hopefully not expensive.

Hopefully you're in a warranty period, because this is obviously not normal. It is definitely defective. Call epson and send them these pictures, because it's good proof.
