First let me say thanks up front for helping me out with this problem. I have had trouble with this now for close to a month and I am so happy I have found this site to help out.
Ok... I recently built a full home theater in my garage with a golf simulator, gaming consoles, movies, etc.
I have the new Epson 5010 3D projector that works amazing with the consoles and satellite... but as soon as I try to run the golf simulator from the alienware x51 desktop.... the screen gets incredibly choppy and slow.
If I play on the actual computer monitor it is lightning fast and amazing.... it is only when i switch to the projector that the crashing/choppy graphics starts.
The video card with the machine is the 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX555
The setup right now is...
1) Epson 5010 connects to pioneer 3d receiver
2) Receiver connects to x51 desktop
So i guess i have two questions
1) What is the best way to connect the projector (using hdmi) to the computer
2) Why would the projector be so choppy?
I bought the x51 specifically for this purpose... i have no other programs hogging memory or anything like that...
hope that gives some solid background
