I will project the Epson 8350 on a 106" screen.
I was recommended to project it from 11' in order to get best brightness (It will be placed in a living room).
If I mount the projector on the ceiling, won't it be too close to the screen? The ceiling height is 8' 8" and the screen top will be at around 8' 6"
I'm sure others will chime in, but I can say that my situation is nearly the same as yours and it works great. I have a 106" screen and the projector is about 12' away. It's mounted on a ceiling soffit that's 83" high. The top of the screen is roughly 77" high.
Add me to the don't worry about it list. I have mine setup in my bedroom with about a 7' 5" ceiling height. Have my pulldown 106" setup right to the top minus 2 inches and cover. I project it from about 12 feet back and at about the 6 foot height mark. I do lose a bit of picture to my bottom corners that my tower speakers get in the way of (due to width of room setup) Overall, the picture looks amazing and i love my bedroom setup
