Hi Everyone, I am making this thread dedicated to LED projector Images. It does not matter how much or how litter the lumens, price, Size as long as its LED. I would like to prove that LED Projectors do not get the credit they deserve and they are going to be the Future of Projectors. Here are some pics of my Viewsonic PLED-W500 Enjoy smile.gif

All where taken with Canon T2i and all artifacts like color and grain are from camera and are not on real images.

Xbox 360 Battle Field 3 Via HDMI at 104"

Also Please note this is on a screen of a gain less than 1.0

yeah dude i like the Optoma ml500 and the acer k330. but i just discovered a hidden gem. the Dell m110. its got a 10,000:1 contrast ratio which destroys the other led models like it. its lumens is 300. not 500. but as long as the lighting in controlled it actually looks just as bright because of the sharp sharp picture. and its only $430 on many sites including newegg. here are some videos of it.

it says 80". but it can go further. the guy at dell told me at 105 its still maintains the same picture. but after that it declines. but 100" is perfect. i am now waiting for a reply on warranty info. this thing is really really small and its incredible the power it has. if they would release one with 600 lumens and the same contrast ratio and charged $700 instead of $430 i would totally buy it.

hi guys. Interested that you feel these mid range solid state projectors are entirely adequate for gaming. There is so much snobbishness in the industry over the image these lamp free projectors can produce. In my opinion it's horses for courses and just dont try and use a lamp free projector where there is a high level of ambient light. Another good model around the 500 lumen range is the NEC L50W. But I'll definitely look into the Dell - infact here is a URL to a review of the Dell - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2399548,00.asp

No problems with ambient light over here...

taken midday with windows wide open in full sun using a CRE-X1000PX LED projector 1080p Native Resolution (also great for gaming) displaying about 105" diagonal directly on the wall.

Here's the nightshot

It looks like you have the brightness pegged to achieve this result. The boarders aren't even dark in the second pic and it washes out the picture.

I have been looking at these LED projectors, however, for when I finally convince the girlfriend to let me build a 3-projector setup for my computer. I'll only be projecting at about 40" each, so that will help with the brightness and would only be used for when I sit down for some serious gaming on occasion. But it would be nice to get rid of the bezels that I have on my current 3-27" monitor setup. Apparently "that's the point" isn't the right answer for when she states that it is "completely and pointlessly overkill"

I think that's more an issue with the camera taking a picture in an indoor "low light" environment than anything else, as the settings are identical in both pictures, nor is the brightness setting on the projector pegged, but the night shot does appear to be more washed out from the camera you can see it in the robe, while the actual display on the wall is not washed out. It is, however, a very bright projector.

Originally I wanted to get three of these to do exactly what you're wanting, (3 in portrait mode, but the lack of horizontal lens shift held me back) but I may settle for just two (in landscape mode). If money wasn't an object I'd get four total and put them in a 2x2 grid and connect them up to a 4x4 hdmi switch from monoprice hooked up to the media pc and various consoles. (although I'd have to get a little creative with the positioning probably the top two ceiling mounted and bottom two table mounted) It would be great for multiplayer gaming.

This actually prompted me to take a few updated pics today (the previous ones were a bit old, pardon the mess). I had reset my settings to factory since last time and only adjusted contrast (15) and brightness (66) everything else is factory default.

do you find it good enough for gaming - I'm not a gamer myself but am interested in whether they are up to it.

Absolutely. It's great for gaming, general computer use, and movies. For gaming purposes I did an input lag test back in it's own thread here. It passed with flying colors.

Just got myself an Acer K330! I absolutely love this thing. I haven't even got it set up properly yet. I'm still projecting it onto a light brown'ish wall and it looks amazing. My 4:3 120" projector screen should be arriving from Amazon.ca in a couple of hours and then it will really be amazing.

SAY NO TO BULBS! LED's are the future. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I will be doing a full review once I get my theater setup.

If I wasn't in the middle of moving I would post pictures of my LG PA70G. I've had it for months and love it.

I sure hope LED/Laser/hybrid projectors are the 'future'. I can't wait to get a projector that I don't even think about using. nothing worse than counting hours, haha.

the last set of pics look pretty good to me. but i'm still thinking a two projector setup will be the next thing I do. an LED projector for casual use, and i'll stick with the 'normal' projector for now because I still feel it gives the best image for dark movies(which is what I watch a lot). that should give me the best of both worlds, and I can save the plasma for the living room, haha.

This has definitely changed the way I think about projectors. I always knew LED would be the future, but I a shocked to see such high quality and resolution images. I cannot wait for others to post more pictures as this thread grows.
