I want to get some speakers, BUT I just learned they are not magnetically shielded and I know they can damage TVs and possibly laptops.

Room size will mean I have to place the speakers about 2 feet away from either side of my Epson 8350 projector (3 LCD lens)

I never owned non-shielded speakers, so will this damage the lens?

That used to be true of tube-type tv's, the crts. Not true with digital equipment. So the projector is fine and so is the laptop..

Whew,what a relief if that's the case!

Correct. With the exception of the headphones, there is nothing in any of those that magnetism would affect. Headphones operate with a magnetic coil, but but unless you have your head next to the speakers when using the headphones, you won't see any effect. Even then, it's iffy.
