Hey fellas,

I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should wait for the Qumi Q5 or go for the ML500 or the K330. I never had a projector so this would be my first purchase. I am planning to build a valvet canopy around my 200x200 CM electric adjustable bed so lighting would not be an issue. I will be mainly using it to watch xvid/720 quality movies and some PC gaming. I am also planning to buy a screen which will be mounted above my feet and the projector above my head while all enclosed in a canopy. As for the prices, I found the Optoma for around 500 euros, the K330 will be around 470 and finally the Qumi at 540. What shall I do? Wait for a Qumi 5 review or just go for one of these?

Many thanks!

Honzik1, my postings and screen shots describe my own experience at home with my Acer K330 LED HD DLP projector, on a 120" 16:9 screen. I am absolutely blown away with my Acer K330 projector's image, but I have been monitoring both the Acer K330 and the LG PA70G LED HD DLP projectors' forums, because the LG PA70G is a step forward in quality from the already awesome Acer K330. I guess that I inadvertently posted on both the Acer K330 and LG PA70G threads together!
Really though, the certain posters who are critical of LED HD DLP projectors are just envious because their much more costly 50 inch to 90 inch (or more) LCD (or plasma) flatscreens are not capable of as large an image (120 inches+) as an LED HD DLP projector!
If I were buying any LED HD DLP projector right now (July 2012), it would be the LG PA70G. You chose exactly the right projector (the LG PA70G), at the right time, Honzik1, so enjoy your PA70G's awesome picture, and don't let some of the freakin' snobs here on AVS discourage you; they just don't get it !

Most of the 720P LED DLP projectors are 3D capable. The resolution goes down (1024x768 I beleive), and the brightness of course gets halved, so I'm not sure they're really usable at larger screen sizes.
