I'm looking to replace my SP4805 and I need a little guidance. I haven't looked at any projectors since I bought it and I'm sure the technology has made some advancements since then. I have been really pleased with the Infocus and would like to stay with them, but from what I can see, that doesn't look possible. Here's a description of my current setup.

It's used in a dedicated home theater in my basement. Total light control (no windows). I project from the ceiling-mounted SP4805 onto a 100" (approx) Da-lite screen from about 12 - 15 feet away. The sole video source is a Popcorn Hour C-200 Networked Media Server connected using an HDMI cable with a DVI adapter at the projector end.

Since the C-200 supports 1080p, I would like a projector that can display that resolution. I run the PCH at 1080i.

3D is not needed.

I'd like to keep the price below 3K, but 2K would be much more likely to get past my CFO (my wife ;-).

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I selected the InFocus based on things I read and learned here and I couldn't be happier with that decision. I am hoping you guys can help me pick its replacement.

Thanks,
Hulka

Looks like I missed the boat on that. I appreciate the help, though. Thanks!

Maybe the Epson Home Cinema 3010e, it's just below $2000 and can be found for even cheaper if searched for. Here's a review:

Hmmnnnnnn.......I hadn't imagined straying from DLP. I've been really, Really pleased with the performance of the 4805's DLP engine. No rainbow effect and no screen door effects either.

I forgot what choosing a projector the first time was like......thankfully ;-)
