Hello,

I am new here and I am not sure this is the correct forum to write this.

We have installed a Mitsubishi xl7000u in our office for a rear projection display window and, thruth be told, we have bought the cheapest vinyl in the market, one that is not even prepared for projections... And the obvious result is that the image can't be seen on plain daylight except when you are looking directly in front of the hot spot.

So, I am trying to improve the quality of the image and I have read about two ways of doing it, but I'd like some proof that this could work: illuminating the window to give extra light to the screen, with which the image should be seen better. The other way is some kind of black veil to absorb the ambient light, but I am not sure how this could actually work.

I know the best solution is to buy a better vinil but it is pretty unlikely right now, this is why I am asking for these cheaper solutions.

Thank you.

Might give AVS a call here and see if they have any insight/options you can explore.

I don't think you'll be able to do much to improve the image in that situation, without investing in a better screen. I think Screen Innovations makes a product that would help, but you can send AVS an email, or pm and direct them to this thread to see the images you posted, and if they can offer any suggestions.
